About the role
You will simulate real patients or relatives during our PACES/OSCE workshops. You will learn a scripted clinical scenario, portray the appropriate symptoms or concerns, remain consistent across multiple candidate encounters, and—where required—complete a short feedback checklist for exam practice. Accuracy and reliability are critical so that every learner faces the same case conditions.
Who is this role for?
Ideal candidates are third-year medical students or above, allied-health or performing-arts students eager to contribute to medical education, and individuals with strong communication and observation skills who can faithfully reproduce a scenario time after time.
Requirements
Ability to memorise a brief (history, demeanour, family background) and stay in character for 5–10-minute stations.
Clear, neutral spoken English; conversational Bahasa Malaysia an advantage.
Punctuality and professionalism—sessions run to tight OSCE timetables.
Comfortable giving basic, structured feedback to candidates after each round (simple checklists provided).
Availability for rehearsal (1–2 hours) plus workshop days, which may fall on weekends.
Preferred but not essential: prior experience in student drama, debating, or standardised-patient programs.
