About the Program
The MEDIT MRCP (UK) PACES Preparatory Program (DIET 2/24) will be a 8-week learning journey with members and fellows of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) who are also leading trainers in the field. The program is designed as a 4 part learning experience intended to guide participants on the learning outcomes expected by the MRCP (UK) PACES.
1. Self-Paced E-Learning Modules (access will be given at 8pm, 20th May 2024 - 28th July 2024)
- Related knowledge on commonly tested topics from the RCP (UK) syllabus
- Approach to common cases and clinical findings
- Recorded patient model/surrogate interaction samples for clinical and communication stations
- > 20 hours of self-directed learning hosted on CME ACADEMY
2. Virtual Practice Sessions with Members of the RCP, UK (8pm, 20th May 2024 - 14th July 2024)
- 40 sessions conducted for 1.5 hours each (CANDIDATES, OBSERVERS & ONLINE CANDIDATE ONLY will be actively practising in the sessions)
- 30 minutes teaching session on related knowledge after the practise sessions
- All participants is welcome to LISTEN & participate in the discussions
- Monday to Friday, from 20th May 2024 to 14th July 2024 at 800pm-930pm
- Virtual coaching sessions for Communication & Consultation Stations
3. Patient Assisted Teaching with Internal Medicine Specialists (29th June 2024)
- Patient examination teaching carousels
- Both the CANDIDATE & OBSERVER will get the opportunity to examine patients & present to the facilitator
- 10 - 12 patient encounters (Respiratory, Abdomen, Cardiovascular, Neurology, Consultation)
- Constructive feedback on examination technique and presentation style improvement by facilitators
4. MOCK PACES assessed by RCP Examiners (29th June 2024)
- 5 Clinical stations with either patient and/or trained stand-ins (surrogates)
- RCP(UK) examiners at each station as assessors
- Candidates and observers will be informed of their sessions upon registration
WHO is this course recommended for?
- MRCP PACES candidates and learners who are keen to gain exposure to the standards of practice required to pass the MRCP(UK) PACES
- Parallel pathway trainees in the Internal Medicine Specialist Training in Malaysia
- Medical Officers with an interest in developing their careers in Internal Medicine

Participate in the virtual practice sessions - based on candidate-selected slots. Active participation in 12 practice sessions, the remaining are as listeners. 3. Actively participate in the face-to-face clinical teaching session. 4. Perform in the MOCK PACES assessment.

Active participation in 6 practice sessions, the remaining are as listeners. 3. Actively participate in the face-to-face clinical teaching sessions. 4. Observe the performance of the candidate in the MOCK PACES.
