MRCP (UK) PACES Preparatory Program | Diet 1/25

The MEDIT MRCP (UK) PACES Preparatory Program (DIET 1/25) will be a 8-week learning journey with members and fellows of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) who are also leading trainers in the field. The program is designed as a 4 part learning experience intended to guide participants on the learning outcomes expected by the MRCP (UK) PACES.

1. Self-Paced E-Learning Modules (access will be given at 8pm, 16th Dec 2024 - 17th Feb 2025)

• Related knowledge on commonly tested topics from the RCP (UK) syllabus
• Approach to common cases and clinical findings
• Recorded patient model/surrogate interaction samples for clinical and communication stations
• > 20 hours of self-directed learning hosted on CME ACADEMY

2. Virtual Practice Sessions with Members of the RCP, UK (8pm, 16th Dec 2024 - 7th Feb 2025)

• 40 sessions conducted for 1.5 hours each (CANDIDATES, OBSERVERS & ONLINE CANDIDATE ONLY will be actively practising in the sessions)
• 30 minutes teaching session on related knowledge after the practise sessions
• All participants are welcome to LISTEN & participate in the discussions
• Monday to Friday, from 16th Dec 2024 to 7th Feb 2024 at 800pm-1000pm
• Virtual practise sessions for Communication & Consultation Stations

3. Patient Assisted Teaching with Internal Medicine Specialists (830am-530pm, 25th Jan 2025)

• Patient examination teaching carousels 
• Both the CANDIDATE & OBSERVER will get the opportunity to examine patients & present to the facilitator
• 10 - 12 patient encounters (Respiratory, Abdomen, Cardiovascular, Neurology, Consultation)
• Constructive feedback on examination technique and presentation style improvement by facilitators

4. MOCK PACES assessed by RCP Examiners (830am-530pm, 25th Jan 2025)

• 5 Clinical stations with either patient and/or trained stand-ins (surrogates)
• RCP(UK) examiners at each station as assessors
• Candidates and observers will be informed of their sessions upon registration

• MRCP PACES candidates and learners who are keen to gain exposure to the standards of practice required to pass the MRCP(UK) PACES 
• Parallel pathway trainees in the Internal Medicine Specialist Training in Malaysia 
• Medical Officers with an interest in developing their careers in Internal Medicine

1. Payment and Refund Policy

All payments must be made in full prior to the workshop. Cancellations and refund requests will only be considered if made at least 7 days before the scheduled start of the program, subject to a 10% processing fee.

2. Workshop Rescheduling and Cancellation

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, such as low registration numbers or issues beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund or option to attend a future workshop will be provided.

3. Health and Safety Disclaimer

By attending our in-person workshops, participants agree to follow all health and safety protocols as outlined by the venue and local authorities. We are not responsible for any illness or injury that may occur during the event.

4. Use of Personal Information

Your personal information may be collected during the registration process and will be used solely for the purpose of facilitating the event. We do not share your information with third parties without your consent.

5. Liability Waiver

We are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss sustained during the workshop or event. By attending, participants agree to waive all claims against the organizers and facilitators.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials provided during the workshops, including handouts, presentations, and online resources, are the intellectual property of MEDIT. Attendees are not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without explicit permission.

7. Changes to Content and Schedule

We reserve the right to modify the workshop content, schedule, or speakers at any time without prior notice. Attendees will be notified of any significant changes to the event.

8. Recording and Media Release

By attending the workshop, participants consent to being photographed or recorded for marketing and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included in such media, please notify the event organizers in advance.

9. Unauthorized Attendance Prohibited

Only registered participants are allowed to attend the workshop. Unauthorized attendees or individuals attempting to participate without a valid ticket or registration will be denied entry. We reserve the right to remove any unauthorized individuals from the event without notice or refund.

10. Ticket Transfer and Exchange Policy

Tickets for our workshops are non-transferable without prior approval. If you are unable to attend, you may request a ticket transfer to another person up to 7 days before the full program starts, subject to a 10% processing fee. Ticket exchanges or swaps for future events may also be allowed at our discretion, depending on availability.
